- 2 large egg whites, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
VANILLA BUTTERCREAM FILLING:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup and 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
- 1 teaspoon milk
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
